About Me
I have been fascinated by sidesaddle
since I was a child. I was always interested in horses and
riding,
and sidesaddle was a natural offshoot of that. I love the
regal lady feeling I get sitting in my beautiful habit on the
back of a fine horse. I also teach riding and train horses, in
dressage, jumping and tandem riding. I dabble in trick training
as well.
This site was born because there really is no single place to see and enjoy the long and beautiful history of women riding. Since I had some time in the winter of 2009, I though it would be a good idea to see if I could pull something together. I got in touch with a few of my sidesaddle friends and they pointed me to the American Sidesaddle Association. They supported the site by allowing me access to their e-mail lists and therefore I could get the message out to many sidesaddle enthusiasts that their help was needed. I am grateful for their assistance.

About the Site
I am very proud to say this site was
completely developed with the use of open-source software! I used
SeaMonkey for my editor, Filezilla for my FTP client, GIMP to edit the
photos, Thunderbird for e-mail, and Open Office to edit text. I
also use Thinking Rock to keep me on schedule.
